Steps To Prevent Eye Strain
Steps to Prevent Eye Strain
Welcome to another HSI Safe in Sixty.
Don't take eye safety lightly. Sorry, but the jokes will get cornea.
You've got to take regular rest breaks to relax your eyes.
Just shifting focus is enough. Look at something at least twenty feet away for twenty seconds every twenty minutes – that's the 20-20-20 rule.
If you are at a computer, look out the window. If you're driving, just checking your speedometer helps.
Reduce glare from screens - make sure they're at a 90-degree angle from direct light sources.
Tech that works FOR you is eye-deal:
- flat screen technology, reflective lighting, and anti-glare glasses will all help. Adjusting the contrast, color settings, and "temperature" on your devices and in your environment is a bright idea.
Use full spectrum lighting, like sunlight, when possible.
Until next time, remember: Your safety is worth the extra minute.
