Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) Part 46 requirements are that new miners complete at least twenty-four hours of health and safety training within the first ninety days of employment, with four hours completed before working at any mine. HSI’s MSHA Part 46 New Miner certification meets MSHA 30 CFR 46.5 requirements.
