Supporting LGBTQ+ Coworkers: 02. Understanding Pronouns

Learning objectives
- Gain an understanding of pronouns.
Course overview
Whether or not you understand the true definition of a pronoun, you use them all the time. These are the words that signify the identity of the person or people talking, or the person or people being talked about; e.g. I, you, she, he, it, them, etc. When we're talking about gender identity, these pronouns can be difficult to navigate. We all want to be respectful of one another. So in this course, we'll do a brief grammar lesson on using pronouns. We'll also discuss some gender-neutral pronouns and how to politely and respectfully determine someone's preferred pronoun.
