Respiratory Protection for Emergency Responders focuses on the risks emergency responders can face when encountering airborne hazards and how to reduce or eliminate that risk.

It highlights the use of the most common respirators used to filter and purify the air being breathed, or to provide a safe, secondary source of breathable air. Topics include:

  • An overview of respiratory hazards
  • The use of respirators
  • The regulatory requirements emergency responders must comply with on hazardous scenes
