Course overview

Although most spills are accidental, they happen too often. Preventing spills is the best way to protect our health and the environment from exposure to oil. Spill prevention, control, and countermeasures (SPCC) plans are written and implemented by oil storage facility owners and operators to help them prevent spills from their facilities. The Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures training course describes the use of these plans. It also discusses common practices for preventing, responding to, and reporting spills. Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures is part of the Environmental Awareness training series.
