Learning objectives

• Identify and differentiate between fall protection systems: fall restraint, fall arrest, and work positioning.

• Identify the components of a Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) and explain how they work together.

• Prepare for fall protection use by reviewing essential safety planning documents such as the HASP, JSA, and fall protection plan, and by considering available emergency rescue resources and post-fall response actions.
