Course overview
Generators are susceptible to a variety of faults which require different methods of detecting and clearing. Because of the complex nature of generator protection, the Generation Protection training course covers NERC standards which address the detection and clearing of faults in frequency, voltage, and composite systems. Standards PRC-001-1.1(ii), PRC-006-3, PRC-019-2, PRC-024-2, PRC-025-2, and PER-006-1 are the basis for this course. This online course discusses generator protection schemes and NERC standards as they apply to generator protection methods and requirements. Generator Protection is part of the System Protection training series.
