Harassment Prevention and the Respectful Workplace (Canada)

Course overview

When employees are empowered to recognize, prevent, and address workplace harassment, they contribute to a healthier and more productive work environment. This course provides a comprehensive guide to identifying unwelcome conduct, understanding federal and provincial legal definitions, and implementing proactive strategies for a safe and inclusive work environment. Designed specifically for Canadian workplaces, learners will explore protections under the Canadian Human Rights Act and provincial Human Rights Codes, understand both worker and employer responsibilities, and learn to recognize behaviors that may constitute harassment, discrimination, or workplace violence. The respectful workplace isn't just harassment-free – it's collaborative, supportive, and engaging, and this course aims to help learners build it.
