Power plants need a lot of maintenance, often requiring the use of equipment that generates sparks, such as welding machines, cutting torches, and grinders. Understanding hot work procedures is necessary to prevent and respond to power plant fires. The Hot Work Procedures training course describes the purpose of a hot work permit procedure.
