Learning objectives
- Identify and describe the purpose of a dataset or data presentation (why the data was collected; what question it aims to answer).
- Interpret basic tabular and graphical data (tables, bar graphs, line charts, histograms, pie charts) to extract patterns, trends, and key insights.
- Evaluate the reliability, validity, and limitations of data presentations (including source credibility, sampling limitations, possible bias).
- Translate data insights into informed conclusions and decisions (e.g., everyday or workplace decisions, evaluating claims, detecting misleading presentations).
