Welcome to our training on OSHA's standard, The Control of Hazardous Energy, better known as lockout tagout. So, what is lockout tagout, and why is it so important? Well, as with most standards or regulations set by OSHA, the primary goal is to ensure safety in the workplace. With lockout tagout, this means properly controlling hazardous energy, so that employees servicing or maintaining machines and equipment are not exposed to serious physical harm or, in extreme cases, fatality. In this course, we'll provide a basic overview of the standard and what it might look like in your workplace.
