Course overview
Organic peroxides are useful but hazardous chemicals used in plastics and rubber manufacturing, and in many laboratory processes. This course will help learners identify the characteristics and hazards of organic peroxides, and general safety considerations for working around them. This awareness-level course is intended to be an introduction to the topic of organic peroxide safety for workers in facilities where organic peroxides are present. Workers who will directly handle or process organic peroxides will need additional training.
The individuals involved in the development and promotion of this course do not receive any compensation or financial benefits outside of their regular employment for their work on this course.
