Course overview

When workers give birth, they often face unexpected challenges and pressures when they return to work, especially if they decide to nurse. It's our job as managers to support lactating parents and understand the laws we must comply with to prevent nursing parents from facing discrimination. On December 29, 2022, legislation was passed to support nursing mothers as they return to work. This law is called the "PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act," or the
"PUMP Act" for short. In this course, we'll take a look at how the legislation impacts accommodations that you must make as an employer.
