Course overview

Many employees work with hazardous chemicals every day. Whenever chemicals are used, there's always the chances of a spill. Some spills can be cleaned up by workers at the site, while others may require emergency responders. Even simple spills of hazardous chemicals can damage human health and the environment, so employees need to be aware of the hazards of those chemicals and how to clean them up safely. Learners who successfully complete this course should be able to recognize sources of spill response information, identify considerations when dealing with small spills, and identify procedures and best practices when dealing with small spills. This course is offered in English and French.
