Course overview
Title IX is a federal law that prohibits sex-based discrimination
in educational institutions receiving federal funding. It provides
protections against sexual harassment, sexual violence, and
discrimination based on pregnancy, sexist attitudes, and
assumptions about gender roles. The law’s application has
been expanded beyond athletics to encompass all educational
programs and activities.
