HSI Announces DIR-Certified AI Awareness Training Aligned with Texas Law
HSI AI Awareness courses are now DIR-Certified aligned with Texas law.
Frisco, Texas – June 3, 2026 – HSI, a leading provider of environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) software, training content, and compliance solutions, announces its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Awareness Training program has been certified by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), aligning with statewide requirements established under Texas law.
HSI’s training program provides foundational knowledge on AI, including key concepts, risks, and responsible use considerations. The program is designed to help public sector professionals better understand and use emerging technologies responsibly in their day-to-day work.
Texas Government Code Sections 2054.5191 and 2054.5193 require certain state and local government employees and officials to complete a certified AI awareness training program. DIR, in consultation with the Public Sector AI Systems Advisory Board, certifies eligible training programs to comply with this requirement.
By supporting AI awareness and education, the program contributes to broader statewide efforts to strengthen workforce readiness and promote informed decision-making as government agencies explore the use of AI. Eligible HSI AI courses include: What Is AI?, Applying AI to Business, The Ethics of AI, AI Regulation and Compliance, and AI Security Concerns.
