2025 Giveaway: Project AED365

When emergencies strike, seconds matter. In cases of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), quick access to an automated external defibrillator (AED) can be the difference between life and death. This reality drives us to continually promote better preparedness by providing comprehensive safety training and resources that empower people to save lives. As part of this mission, we’re excited to announce that HSI is partnering with CoroMed and ZOLL Medical on Project AED365 — allowing communities across the country to have the opportunity to become even more equipped to respond when lives are on the line.
Through this initiative, we’ve teamed up to distribute 365 AEDs in 2025, one for every day of the year. Each AED donation will include a seat for HSI Remote Skills Verification (RSV) training to ensure recipients are confident and prepared to use these lifesaving devices. Here’s what you need to know about the Project AED365 giveaway, including how to apply.
Why AEDs matter: A quick refresher
Each year, sudden cardiac arrest affects hundreds of thousands of people in the United States, with nearly 91% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests being fatal. However, when an AED is used promptly, survival rates can more than double, underscoring the significance of having these devices readily available.
AEDs are designed to deliver lifesaving shocks quickly and effectively, even for those without medical training. Yet, despite the proven effectiveness of AEDs, many nonprofit organizations, schools, businesses, and public spaces still lack access to them — often due to budgetary constraints.
How the Project AED365 giveaway works
Starting now, organizations, schools, and individuals are invited to apply for a chance to receive lifesaving equipment and training at no cost. Winners will receive:
- ZOLL AED 3 (AED 365 Pro Included – 5 Year). Choice of semi-automatic or fully-automatic AED 3, a 6-year standard warranty, CPR Uni-padz™ electrodes, and essential accessories.
- One seat for Remote Skills Verification (RSV) training with HSI. This training ensures giveaway winners have the knowledge and confidence to respond in emergency situations. RSV training is fully remote, allowing you to get full CPR, AED, and First Aid training from a live, authorized HSI Instructor from the comfort of your home.
With these combined resources, Project AED365 not only equips recipients with the tools to respond to cardiac and choking emergencies but also ensures they have the skills needed to save lives effectively.
Whether you’re a community center, nonprofit organization, small business, or school in need of crucial emergency equipment, this could be your chance to increase your readiness.
To apply, fill out a simple form with information about your organization and its need for an AED. The application only takes a few minutes and can be easily shared with your network.
Over the next year, Project AED365 will make a daily donation to deserving organizations, schools, and individuals to make communities safer. CoroMed will begin announcing winners on January 1, 2025. So, go ahead and apply and start sharing giveaway information with your community.

Why apply for the Project AED365 giveaway?
By distributing 365 AEDs and lifesaving training with RSV in 2025, the Project AED365 initiative doesn’t just impact individual organizations; it fosters a culture of preparedness and safety. Picture a community where every school, sports venue, and community center is equipped to handle cardiac emergencies. This vision of readiness has the power to transform how we think about emergency response, instilling confidence among community members.
The ripple effect extends further when you consider the impact of training and awareness. As organizations receive AEDs and engage in HSI’s RSV training, the knowledge spreads. Employees, volunteers, and even bystanders become more capable of responding to emergencies beyond their workplace, contributing to a safer society overall.
If you are part of a community-focused organization, Project AED365 is a remarkable opportunity to enhance your emergency preparedness. By applying, you have the chance to receive a lifesaving device and join a growing network of safety-conscious groups committed to protecting lives.
Even if your organization is not selected, the partners of Project AED365 aim to raise awareness about the importance of AED accessibility, ensuring more communities consider investing in these lifesaving devices.
Spread the word about Project AED365
HSI encourages everyone, whether applying for the giveaway or not, to become advocates for AED accessibility. You can start by assessing your own spaces — schools, workplaces, and community centers — to ensure they are well-prepared for emergencies. If an AED is already present, consider scheduling a refresher course with HSI to keep everyone sharp and ready to respond. If there’s no AED on-site, this may be the perfect moment to initiate a conversation about investing in one.
