Regulation Rundown

Happy Heart Month!

February is Heart Health month and while many businesses choose to have staff who are CPR certified and trained in basic first aid, for many others, it’s an OSHA requirement. There are at least 15 different OSHA regulations pertaining to CPR/First Aid training in the workplace.

According to OSHA, this training is required for workers directly involved with emergency response and most medical services. Training is also required for any workforce where the working environment is outside the near proximity of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital. In addition, each member of the confined space rescue service team shall be trained in Basic First Aid and CPR, and at least one member shall hold current certifications.

HSI is one of the three largest nationally accepted providers of CPR certifications and offers training for CPR, AED, First Aid, and advanced programs such as Basic Life Support (BLS). Designed to meet regulatory requirements, HSI offers a variety of ways for your organization to get full certification in CPR training.

HSI also offers products and supplies for your organization like AEDs, CPR mannikins, masks, first aid kits, disaster supplies, and more.
