HSI Conference Spotlight on Neuromarketing and Patrick Renvoise

The 2015 HSI International Conference planning team is completely stoked to have Patrick Renvoise of SalesBrain as our keynote speaker. We’ve worked with Patrick to bring his neuromarketing techniques to our HSI marketing and branding efforts, with many of our staffers taking Patrick’s workshops and working directly with the SalesBrain team on various projects.

What’s this neuromarketing stuff about? Glad you asked, because it’s pretty awesome. It’s a persuasion model based on decades of research on the human brain that helps businesses capture customer attention, convince them that you have the products and services they need, and then close the deal. In today’s post, I want to share some information from the SalesBrain website to give you a better understanding of the theory behind the SalesBrain success.

SalesBrain increases marketing performance by targeting the decision making part of your customer’s brain with a unique, award-winning, science-based NeuroMap.™

The starting point of the NeuroMap is understanding some basic facts about the structure of the human brain. You may think of the human brain as a single organ, but physiologically, the brain is actually organized into 3 separate parts which act as separate organs with different cellular structures and different functions. Patrick will help you understand how each part of the brain is involved in buying decisions, and, most importantly, which part of the brain is the true decision maker.

You’ve probably heard the term “Reptilian Brain.” This ancient but powerful part of our brains controls most life-sustaining functions such as breathing, digestion, heart rate, etc., but it also plays a big role in our decision processing. Patrick and his team use 6 stimuli to grab the attention of part of our brains and use these stimuli as a special language to influence customers’ buying decisions.

But don’t be put off by all this science and brain talk. You actually need to keep things simple (but evocative) to “talk” to this part of the brain, and when you do, your message can become irresistible and that can lead to increased sales and growth for your training business.

Patrick, a self-styled French-born nerd quickly became an expert in complex sales. He headed Global Business Development efforts first at Silicon Graphics then as Executive Director of Business Development at LinuxCare. In the course of closing over $3B of business transactions and selling multi-million-dollar super-computers to NASA, Boeing, Shell, Canon, BMW, Airbus and more, he met with some of the smartest people on earth and he became fascinated by the human mind.

Pushed by a strong desire to seek the truth about Sales & Marketing, Patrick discovered the buy button inside the brain.

To access this button, he spent 2 years researching and formalizing a science-based NeuroMAP which helped over 6,000 companies’ worldwide get their message truly understood by the brain of their customers.

Patrick received a Masters in Computer Science from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (Lyon, France) and he is currently serving as Chief Neuromarketing Officer and Co-Founder of SalesBrain.

He’s an engaging speaker and his workshops are both fun and challenging, and we can’t wait to host him at our conference!
