Course overview

Since its creation in the mid-Nineties, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA, has been a major cause of concern for people working both inside and outside the health care industry. This course is designed to give employees an overview of HIPAA and its general requirements. Learners who successfully complete this course should be able to identify the purpose, basic terminology, and common actions companies must take to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA. This course is designed for all employees who work for companies affected by HIPAA, but are not responsible for administering a HIPAA compliance program. This course is presented in English and Vietnamese.
