Working Well With Everyone: Creating a Culture of Belonging

Learning objectives

  • Define inclusion and psychological safety and explain how they differ.
  • Recognize the specific behaviors that make people feel valued, seen, and respected at work.
  • Identify actions every employee can take to strengthen belonging and engagement on their team.

Course overview

Diversity brings different people into the room, while inclusion determines whether everyone feels free to speak, take a risk, or be themselves once they're there. Everyday behaviors, like amplifying an overlooked idea or naming when a meeting left certain voices out, build the psychological safety that separates a team that looks diverse from one that functions that way.
