Course overview
Governmental health, safety, and environmental laws dictate the specific handling and disposal methods of hazardous materials. Failure to comply with these laws can be costly as well as environmentally negligent. Companies must fully comply with all laws and regulations. They must train employees in the proper procedures to follow when they encounter a hazardous material spill or leak. The Hazardous Materials Safety training course identities hazardous materials common to industrial and commercial workplaces. It discusses how to appropriately respond to spills, leaks, or other types of contamination to protect personnel and the environment. This course satisfies the requirements for OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.1200 (h) (1) through (3). It is part of the Hazardous Materials Safety training series.
