Learning objectives
- Safely obtain an electrical clearance, tag out, and de-energize lines and equipment.
- Compliantly transfer, and release, electrical clearances; and safely re-energize lines and equipment.
Course overview
This lesson introduces electrical workers to safe, OSHA-compliant procedures for de-energizing and re-energizing transmission or distribution lines and equipment. (For de-energizing procedures that apply to electric power generation facilities, see the Hazardous Energy Control Procedures lesson.)
