Emergency Action Plans: Common Workplace Emergencies (SNP-363.2)

Learning objectives
- Recognize common office emergencies and procedures
Course overview
Emergencies are unforeseen situations that present an immediate threat to life, health, property or the environment. Emergencies can happen without warning in any work environment, including offices. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers with more than 10 employees to have a written emergency action plan, or EAP, for their facilities. Employees must be trained over their responsibilities under the EAP. While offices might not have the same hazards as some other workplaces, emergencies such as fire, injuries and severe weather can still affect them. Learners who successfully this course should be able to recognize common office emergencies and procedures. This microlearning course addresses a specific aspect of a broader training topic. For a more complete training experience, see EAP-1 Emergency Office Plans for Office Employees. This course is presented in English and Spanish.
The individuals involved in the development and promotion of this course do not receive any compensation or financial benefits outside of their regular employment for their work on this course.
