- Demonstrate how to safely administer naloxone using nasal spray and injection methods.
- Apply the “Three Cs” framework (Check, Call, Care) to an opioid overdose emergency.
- Perform compression-only CPR if needed until professional help arrives.
- Evaluate when to administer additional naloxone doses and monitor recovery until EMS arrives.
Course overview
Opioid overdoses can occur anywhere, and immediate, informed action saves lives. This course equips you to recognize overdose symptoms, administer naloxone safely, and provide CPR when necessary. You will learn how to respond quickly and confidently using the three Cs— check, call, care—so you can help stabilize someone until medical professionals arrive.
