Good Manufacturing Practices: 02. Industries Under FDA Regulation

Learning objectives

  • Gain an understanding of the FDA regulations involved with the premises, people, products, processes, and procedures in several different industries.

Course overview

While many industries are subject to GMP, the FDA regulates pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, dietary supplements, and food and beverage. In this course, we'll explore GMP in these industries, discussing regulations across the five GMP principles: premises, people, products, processes, and procedures. We'll highlight standard regulations, requirements, and penalties. We'll also talk about noncompliance situations and how they're handled by the FDA, and we'll cover additional industries that fall under FDA regulation.
