Course overview
Working in high heat can cause a number of health issues, particularly for workers who have not properly acclimated to the conditions. This course covers the hazards of working in high heat and how to minimize or eliminate the onset of heat stress. Employees will learn how to identify the hazardous health effects of high heat, methods to prevent those health effects and what to do if a co-worker exhibits symptoms of heat stress such as heat fatigue, heat rash, heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. This course is intended for employees who are exposed to high-temperature conditions for significant periods of time while on the job. This course is presented in English and Spanish.
