Course overview
HIPAA and HITECH are laws which give patients more control over their protected health information (PHI) in the United States. Patients have the right to view and transfer their information, as well as to indicate what can and cannot be shared. This course looks at what rights patients have, and the role covered entities play in ensuring them.
