Properly handling personally identifiable information, or PII, is crucial to safeguarding individual privacy, maintaining customer trust, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. There are many risks associated with mishandling PII, and the consequences can be both damaging and expensive. In this course, we'll talk through some laws that regulate the use of PII and what business must do to stay compliant.
