- Understand why prioritization is important for productivity and focus at work. Identify the key factors that influence prioritization decisions in the workplace. Understanding difference between urgency and importance, impact on goals and outcomes, resource availability, and deadline and time sensitivity.
- Implement prioritization techniques in daily tasks to manage conflicting demands efficiently. Techniques to highlight include: Eisenhower Matrix and the ABC Method.
- Develop and implement daily habits that enhance focus and productivity, enabling them to manage competing priorities effectively and maintain consistent progress toward their goals. Habits to highlight include: time blocking, using available tools, distraction-free time, maintain boundaries at work - saying no when necessary.
Course overview
You're working on an important task at work. Then, your boss gives you a project that needs to be done ASAP. A colleague stops by to tell you that they need your help with something that they're working on. Then word comes down that an error has been made and it's an all-hands-on deck situation. What do you do, and where do you start? We've all been in situations like these where we're inundated with seemingly top-priority tasks. This course is designed to help you determine which tasks are the most urgent and important so you can successfully do your job and lower your stress levels.
