Basic Airway Care

Basic Airway Care

Course overview

Basic Airway Care helps all levels of EMS providers gain a holistic, patient-centered view of airway management rather than the traditional, task-focused approach of learning how to insert various airway devices. By redefining success as a good patient outcome rather than successful insertion of a device, EMS providers can improve airway care for every patient.

EMS providers will gain a broader understanding of airway management rather than airway insertion, including indications, contraindications, and clinical appropriateness of various airway maneuvers so that the provider is best prepared to apply the appropriate airway maneuver for a given situation.

Featuring Reuben Farnsworth, B.S., CCP-C, CP-C, Clinical/Operational Coordinator of Delta County Ambulance District, Colorado.
