EHS Platform

New Map View Selector

When reporting on an incident or filling out a form for an inspection, users can now include a map with a pin on the specific location in addition to the written address. This is especially helpful if the location is not a physical address, but in a large open space, on a bridge, etc. The new Map View Selector has been created as a supporting feature to the “Address” question-type field.

New “Priorities” Settings for Actions

Actions in the EHS systems can be assigned a priority status, with visual options helping end users understand the system and the urgency of the assigned action. The Action Priority System works with all areas of the EHS system – including Automations, Imports, Mail Merge, Translations, and Placeholders.

Plus, New Latitude/Longitude Feature

Users can now add latitude and longitude coordinates, and these details can be shown in reports. This is extremely beneficial for clients who have assets or site locations that don’t have a physical address, for example a utility company that needs to service utility poles. Now you can type in the lat-long coordinates and easily locate the pole, transmitter, or other asset/location.

eBook: How to Calculate a Safety Budget that Gets Approved

Many organizations do not include workplace health and safety as a line item in their budget despite the importance of it. This leaves the EHS professional scraping together funds from other departments or trying to achieve safety goals without sufficient financial support.

EHS professionals often find that creating a departmental budget is one of the toughest parts of their job and an area they are left to figure out on their own, without training or support. If you find yourself in that very situation, wishing you had a budget, needing to put one together to justify necessary costs, and unsure where to start, this eBook is for you.

Whitepaper: Unlocking the Secrets of Knowledge Transfer

Businesses go to great lengths to contain risk. Industrial companies – such as power providers, manufacturers, and oil and gas firms are no exception. One vulnerability in these companies is the loss of hard-won operational knowledge. It’s not just retiring workers – all age groups and demographics are part of the knowledge gap.

This white paper examines the forces supercharging this risk for utilities, manufacturers, oil and gas enterprises, and the entire industrial spectrum. It also offers ideas on what steps leaders can take to mitigate or even reverse labor attrition’s worst effects with knowledge transfer.

Case Study: Building Materials Company Enhances Efficiencies by Developing Qualified Electric Worker Program

A small building materials company with 65 years of experience needed to improve efficiencies. One area they identified was electrical maintenance which required training to meet OSHA’s qualified electric worker standards. None of their workers had electrical backgrounds, so they needed to be trained to handle most electrical maintenance. This location would serve as the pilot site for program and training development. Once established, they planned to roll the program out to other locations.

Read how HSI helped them follow OSHA’s qualified electric worker requirements by basing the training program on the tasks performed at each location.

Thanks for playing along!

Quote: "The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again."

Answer: Field of Dreams (1989), Character: Terence Mann played by James Earl Jones
