- Describe your potential scope of responsibilities for forklift inspection and maintenance and give examples of inspection items that are pre-operational, operational, and specific to a particular forklift type
- Outline techniques for operating a forklift on challenging surfaces and in enclosed spaces
- Identify factors, including forklift capacity, that affect stability and determine whether a forklift has the capacity to lift a given load
Course overview
This Bundle is a 5-part, 90-minute forklift operator training curriculum. The lessons in the curriculum include Forklift Fundamentals, Stability and Capacity, Load Handling, Safe Driving, and Inspection and Maintenance. This Bundle provides workers with the knowledge and skills to operate a forklift safely. However, completing this training alone will not qualify you to operate a forklift. Regulatory agencies also commonly require hands-on instruction and in-person evaluation of operator performance in the workplace.
