Calling all EHS Leaders! Participate in our 2024 Global EHS Readiness Index (GERI) Survey
Don’t miss your chance to join 1000+ Health & Safety leaders, spanning all industries, in a global movement that's setting the benchmark for EHS excellence.
As Health & Safety leaders strive to create sustainable, safer workplaces amidst rising complexity, many are reliant on outdated systems and processes that lack the scalability and data analytics crucial for minimizing organizational risk.
In recognition of this, HSI (in conjunction with Focus Network), is surveying industry leaders to chart a roadmap for modern EHS readiness, revealing best practices and areas of vulnerability. The survey will uncover:
- Requirements for mitigating EHS risk
- Areas of exposure and vulnerability for the EHS function
- EHS readiness and best practices
- The roadmap to EHS readiness
The survey closes on September 28th, so don’t delay!
News
OSHA Inspection Representatives
Newly proposed rulemaking clarifies that employees may authorize a third party to accompany OSHA compliance officers during workplace inspections, such as a translator to improve communications between OSHA representatives and workers.
Return to Office (RTO) Update
According to Resume Builder, 90% of company decision-makers recently surveyed reported plans to RTO by 2024, citing increased revenue, improved culture, and productivity benefits as the reasoning. Many employers are already requiring full or part RTO, like 2-3 days a week in the office. While employee surveys tell a different story, some data shows as low as 15% of remote workers wanting to return to the office.

Content Release
Content Release
This month's content release covers topics of supervision, leadership, effective meetings, and employee recognition. If you’ve struggled to manage while short-staffed, we’ve got a course for that too. And we’ve got a new series about distilled spirits, for our direct store delivery customers, or anyone who’s interested.
EHS Platform Update: Action Approval
While the ability to create and track actions has always been available in our EHS Platform, we recently unveiled a new feature that incorporates an approval workflow into the action system. When assigning an action, a user can now require an approval process. Once the action has been completed, the assigned approver will receive notification to review and approve the action or send it back for additional attention.
We’ve also included some enhancements in the Actions UI, allowing for increased visibility into the process and the users who are involved.
The Action Approval feature is fully integrated into all the main features of the EHS Platform, including importing/exporting, reporting, and automations.
