Effective On-the-Job Training
On-the-job training (OJT) can be a highly effective training method if it is conducted following a sequential structure. A successful OJT program requires more effort than placing a new employee with an experienced operator to learn the ropes.
The HSI Effective OJT class equips trainers with the knowledge to apply each of the components of an effective OJT structure to their unique work environment. Trainers can take their experience from the class and immediately apply it to their programs.
During the HSI Effective OJT class, students learn to:
- Develop an OJT structure
- Overcome challenges
- Use supporting resources
- Communicate effectively
- Promote diversity
- Sequence learning plans
- Make learning fun
- Evaluate using tracking tools and analysis
Each session combines presentations, activities, peer support, and group discussions.
